Customer Comment

“I guess we just didn’t expect the product to provide us with all of these additional possibilities. We purchased DeliveryWare for a very narrow purpose. But now we are looking into so many other possibilities."

DeliveryWare Input and Output Capabilities

DeliveryWare seamlessly integrates with any application output and delivers documents and data to any destination. The DeliveryWare Rules Designer provides easy-to-use graphical configuration and management of all input, processing, and output capabilities.

Universal Application Connectors

ERP/CRM - DeliveryWare is tightly integrated with today’s leading ERP applications, including connectors specifically designed for Oracle, PeopleSoft, SAP, Baan and other business application. Many other applications can also take full advantage of  DeliveryWare’s intelligent recognition, formatting, and delivery capabilities.

Custom and Legacy Applications - Documents from any custom or legacy applications can be directed to DeliveryWare through the use of standard device type emulation (that is, as a print destination), standard protocols (FTP, LPR/LPD, TCP/IP, SNA, and so on), and through a Command Line Connector or published APIs. When acting as a print destination,  DeliveryWare becomes a natural extension of the enterprise network for any application generating print streams as PCL, PostScript, PDF, or AFP format.

Desktop Applications - Users of desktop applications like Microsoft Word or Microsoft Excel see  DeliveryWare as another printer and can choose the desired delivery method. To desktop application users,  DeliveryWare is as simple as printing.

Inbound Documents - Data from inbound faxes, emails (SMTP and POP3), or scanned documents can be used as input to  DeliveryWare for recognition and extraction. The Dynamic Document Capture Module extracts data from inbound fax and image documents using optical character recognition (OCR), optical mark recognition (OMR), barcode recognition (1D and 2D) and handwriting recognition (ICR).

Directories and Databases -  DeliveryWare integrates seamlessly with existing directories and databases.

DeliveryWare Rules Engine

The DeliveryWare Rules Engine is the core of  DeliveryWare. This technology automates the information delivery process, providing comprehensive document customization, professional formatting, and flexible delivery methods.

Universal Output Connectors

Print - DeliveryWare supports on-demand and high-volume printing. Text, PCL, PostScript, PDF, and AFP are all supported. Administrators can create as many Windows or non-Windows virtual  printers as required, allowing end users to directly print documents to be processed by the  DeliveryWare Rules Engine. Prints options include:

  • Printing documents from any application to any local or network printer
  • Creating multiple documents from a single data stream
  • Distributed printing to remote locations (warehouses, branch offices, other facilities)
  • Email - Email provides a flexible medium for delivering formatted documents, notifications of Web-posted documents, messages, warnings, and document final delivery status notifications. Emails may contain information that is dynamically extracted by DeliveryWare Rules Engine from a document or extracted through a database or directory query. Emails with attachments support PDF, HTML, TIFF, or text formats and can be secured with S/MIME.

Fax - DeliveryWare provides full featured production (inbound and outbound) and desktop faxing capabilities that exceed the capabilities of fax centric products. The flexible licensing and pricing of DeliveryWare allows for a fax only implementation of DeliveryWare that is very competitive. DeliveryWare automatically faxes documents directly from any business application without requiring an additional fax server acquisition. For enterprises that already have a fax solution, DeliveryWare easily integrates with this existing solution, extending all the capabilities of its powerful DeliveryWare Rules Engine, document formatting, and other delivery channels. DeliveryWare is certified with Brooktrout (TruFax, TR114, and TR1034), Eicon Diva Server, or Dialogic fax boards.

Web Publishing -  DeliveryWare supports HTML generation for publishing documents to secure or public Web sites.  DeliveryWare’s email notifications can immediately notify recipients with a direct URL link to the posted information.

XML - XML (eXtensible Markup Language) provides a structure for data exchange within specific marketplaces, simplifies document archiving, and gives organizations limitless flexibility. Any  DeliveryWare job can be output as an XML file, making  DeliveryWare easy to integrate with other XML-based applications.  DeliveryWare accepts input in any form of XML and also produces XML output in any user-defined format.

Wireless - DeliveryWare enables applications to communicate with wireless devices such as text pagers, mobile phones, PDAs (Palm Pilots, Blackberry, and so on) using its email delivery capabilities. Using wireless providers,  DeliveryWare effortlessly sends text messages or notifications to devices simply by sending a message to a device’s SMTP email address.

Archive - The  DeliveryWare archiving functionality allows companies to store, query, retrieve, and track all documents, regardless of the delivery method.

PDF - PDF (Portable Document Format) provides a simple way to present and deliver professional-looking documents in electronic format.  DeliveryWare’s PDF drivers allow conversion to PDF format from multiple input formats, including text, XML, PCL, PostScript, TIFF, or and AFP with full color support.

WebDelivery - DeliveryWare seamlessly delivers documents to WebDelivery's hosted, secure portal allowing external users to securely retrieve and manage documents.
